Belman, Karkala, Nov 27: Lawrence Mendonca, son of the late Gabriel and Justine Mendonca, who died in a tragic road accident along with his daugher Tania on Sunday evening, was popularly known as "Dallu". He was father of three children. Eldest is son Joel. Tania was the elder of the next two girls, Shiny being the younger.

Lawrence's wife Jacintha nee Mendonca hails from Belman. Sixteen-year-old Tania had a speech impediment from birth and was attending Chetana Special School.
The bodies were released to the family on Monday and were brought home. The funeral cortege left the residence at 3-30 pm and the funeral was to take place in Attur church.
There was gloom over the towns of Nitte, Parapadi and Belman over the death of father and daughter in the tragic mishap.
