Mangalore, November 24: 'Pre Unique', a state-level inter Pre-university intellectual and cultural fest of the St Aloysius PU College was inaugurated on Friday November 24 at the Pretorium of the college.



Rector of St Aloysius Institutions, Fr Francis Serrao presided over the function while principal Fr Eugene Lobo, also the chief guest, inaugurated the event.
 


Speaking on the occasion, Fr Eugene said that although since the year 2000, PUC no longer remains a literal part of the St Aloysius Degree College, it still carries with it the Aloysian spirit which it imbibed from it. 



Pointing out the significance of the event, he revealed that 'Pre Unique' is a platform which prepares students for the hard competition provided by the modern world of globalization. 

Fr Eugene also inaugurated the 'Science Model Exhibition', a highlight of the Fest.

Competitions such as Mock ads, Stress Interview, Indian Classical Dance, and Debates etc will be held. Students from more than thirty colleges from across the state are participating in the event.

Prof John E D'Silva, principal of PU section, Sunil D'Cunha, convener, Pradeep M and Grishin D'Souza, assistant conveners, Amanda Andrade, student council president and Rhea Alva, student council secretary were also present on the dais.
