Still need mom's advice on scripts: Thulasi Nair

Chennai, Nov 24 (IANS): Thulasi Nair, daughter of yesteryear southern actress Radha, says she still takes her mother's advice when it comes to choosing scripts as she feels she's not yet ready to take such big decisions herself.

The 17-year-old, who made her cinematic debut with Mani Ratnam's Tamil romantic-drama "Kadal", was last seen in romantic-thriller "Yaan".

"I still listen to scripts or meet a director with mom. I still feel I need advice on choosing scripts because I don't think I'm mature enough to take such big decisions. We hear it together and then we discuss it. She hears me out and vice versa," Thulasi told IANS.

For any professional advice, Thulasi reaches out to her mother and aunt, popular southern actress Ambika.

Thulasi spent nearly two years on "Yaan", which was her recent release in Tamil.

"As an actor, I feel 'Yaan' made me very independent and gave me an opportunity to establish myself professionally," she said.

She is currently waiting for a script that will challenge her as an actor.
