Mangalore, Nov 13: The Dakshina Kannada District Co-operative Union Ltd (DKDCUL) in association with Karnataka State Co-operative Federation will observe 53rd Co-operative Week in the district from Nov 14 to 20.

DKDCUL president P B Divakar Rai stated in a release that during the week, co-operative flag will be hoisted at the premises of all the co-operative week is of in the district. The objective of the co-operative week is of co-operative societies and their mechanism to achieve second green revolution and social and economic growth.

Experts in co-operative sectors will deliver talks in different places throughout the week. On Tuesday, a talk on autonomy in co-operative sector will be held at Ujire Credit Co-operative Bank to mark right to better administration and information day.

On Wednesday, to mark the application of technology for improving professionalism day will be observed at Mangalore Akashvani Employees’ Co-operative Society premises.

Co-operative marketing and farmer’s day will be celebrated at the Padpinangadi branch of Kalmadka Agriculture Credit Co-operative Bank on Thursday.

The Union will observe eradication of poverty through co-operative societies, employment generation and consumers day at Kumbra Agricultural Credit Co-operative bank premises on Friday.

Women and Youth Empowerment and Social Justice Day at Bajpe Milk Producer’s Co-operative Society premises. On Nov 20, the Union will celebrate co-operative values strengthening day at Bantwal taluk co-operative bank auditorium.
