Vittal, Nov 12: The prime accused in the theft in the historic Maddur Sri Madanantheswara Siddi Vinayaka Temple is now in police net. The Vittal police along with the Kasargod police arrested him on Friday night.
A resident of Kasargod Bashir (33) was the prime accused in the temple theft case. The police team led by Kasargod Dy SP K Ravichandra has also obtained the stolen temple ornaments from him.
Bhasir has also been involved in several thefts and the police have been searching for him from several months.
