Bangalore, Nov 11: Sudha Murthy, author and wife of Infosys chief mentor N R Narayana Murthy, will soon act for the first time in a Kannada television serial.
The chairperson of Infosys Foundation will play the role of a judge in the popular serial Preethi Illada Mele telecast by ETV (Kannada).
“It’s a first time for me. It’s a new field. I am happy and looking forward to it,” an excited Sudha Murthy said.
Before accepting the role, Sudha put a few riders to the producers and director of the serial, which has already clocked over 300 episodes telecast during prime time.
She told them, “you have to show me as I am. Don’t tell me to wear gaudy sarees and change my hairstyle and things of that nature.” The serial-makers assented to her conditions.
