Kundapur, Nov 11: A resident of Kumta who was on his way to KMC Hospital at Manipal was killed when a private bus rammed into Maruti car he was travelling at Hangalur near here Friday November 10.
The deceased has been identified as Ramdas Shetty (55), a resident of Gudigargalli in Kumta. He was taking his brother-in-law Dayanand Shetty for check-up at KMC Hospital at Manipal when a recklessly private bus rammed into their car.
As a result Ramdas Shetty and Dayanand Shetty sustained serious injuries while the car driver and another person Kiran Shet who too was travelling in the same car escaped unhurt. Both Ramdas and Dayanand were admitted a private hospital here. But Ramdas succumbed to injuries later.
Kundapur police have registered a case in this regard.
