Mangalore, Nov 10: The Dakshina Kannada district committee of CPIM staged protest against sentencing former president of Iraq Saddam Hussein to death on Thursday November 9.

The protest was staged in front of the deputy commissioner's office.  Speaking on the occasion CPIM district secretary K R Shriyan said that the Iraqi court that sentenced Saddam to death has been working as per the directives given by the American government.  The judgment issued against is inhuman and it is just another face of American dominance in the global politics.

CPIM leader B Madhav too addressed the gathering.  CPIM state committee members Ramchandra Uchil, Vasanth Achari, J Balakrishna Shetty, U B Lokayya, Abraham Karkada, DYFI district president Munir Katipalla, secretary Ashok Konchadi were also present.

J Balakrishna Shetty welcomed and Vasanth Achari proposed the vote of thanks.
