AAP launches ‘Delhi Dialogues’ in city

New Delhi, Nov 13(Indian Express): In the run up to the Delhi Assembly polls, the Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday launched a drive called Delhi Dialogues — the groundwork to draw up a 50-point blueprint for a five-year government in the capital.

Party chief Arvind Kejriwal said at the launch that the party “will interact with people from different fields” and work towards making Delhi a “world-class city in five years”.

Elaborating on their initiative, Kejriwal said, “Our team will talk to experts as well as common residents to identify issues which will be incorporated in the blueprint. At an event organised every week, we will announce these issues.”

The first such event has been set for November 15 at Jantar Mantar, followed by discussions on November 26 on measures to be taken for women’s safety. “The party will talk about issues related to the youth and students of Delhi, about their aspirations and their problems,” Kejriwal said.

Senior AAP leader Yogendra Yadav connected the campaign to the party’s idea of swaraj. “The Aam Aadmi Party, from the beginning, has tried to give a new idea to the country in the form of swaraj. Delhi Dialogue takes this idea forward,” Yadav said. Touted as a collaborative action to create a partnership between the government and the governed, Delhi Dialogues, aims to draw up an actionable plan for various sections through a series of discussions. Yadav said, “Just before each election, all political parties release their manifesto. Hardly any discussion takes place on their content… We will present small sections of our manifesto so that there is discussion, debate and investigation of these issues.

Delhi Dialogues represents a step forward for the party’s ideas.” The campaign will be led by senior AAP leaders — banker Meera Sanyal, former journalist Ashish Khetan and former Apple sales head Adarsh Shastri.

A mandate given to AAP was wasted. A group immature intellectuals who do not hesitate to take law into their hands, and believe in politics of the street urchins by holding dharnas for publicity. Is this what we expect as Good Governance? For a Delhite holding political office he should know the immediate needs of the people instead of holding dialogue. What the common man needs is to get his work done in a corruption free environment, at short notice without any red tape. He also needs drinking water, social justice for the poor and deprived and speedy disposal of cases by the courts. Ensure that the Judiciary, utive and the Legislature act fast with a time bound schedule, everything will fall in place. Why all this nonsense called Dailogue. In the end AAP leaders get slaps after all this show.....

Mr. Ashok Shetty?Shirva...I think you are sleeping. Come on man, Congress not only currupt communal also. Who devided the country on the basis of religion, cast creed, region and ruled, it is congis. They never said and did "sab ka vikas". They changed the perception of secularism to pleasing the minorities.

    1. It is 6 months getting over after General elections, no media (paid media) has guts to ask Modi his achievements, where paid media questioned hundred times during 49 days.
    2. What major achievements done by Modi after coming to power?? Forget about bringing back black money. He did nothing, he just did like ex PM MMS. Smugglers & gamblers keep on robing the country, its happening everywhere in day light without our notice.
    3. Modi alone can not run the country. He shows one man show, it is still okey if he has control with his party men and ministers. Just changing ministers doesn't work.
Above 3 major reasons shows that BJP and Congress are sick parties and they will not deliver even 20% of their promises. This creates a chance to give vote to AAP in Delhi.

All said and done, BJP has been doing a good job at the centre and also in some states. At least there is an ideology to take India forward under the leadership of Modi. Whether they will succeed or not, time will tell, and we need to have patience rather than making our own conclusions.

Whichever alternative Govt. in state or centre and whatever little they do will definitely a step forward as Congress has lost all its credibility thanks to mouna sings, pappus, baayis and babus.

Coming back to AAP, I think they deserve a second chance. They didn't do any gotala, scams, corruption etc., during their rule in Delhi. YES... it was a miscalculated and a stupid decision made by AK47. It doesn't mean he didn't do any good to Delhi people despite battling with sharks and lions (who have been looting this country for decades). Those sharks are hell bent on turning AK's one mistake into thousand folds. Thats the politics they have been playing. They don't want any new ideology to enter into their herds.

Finally it is always a healthy practice to have competitions and challenges to move in the right direction so as to have a sustained growth. Otherwise, it would be like Andhe Me Kaniya Raja.

    Tom Cat,

I totally agree with you about alternate government and that's why BJP has been chosen over Congress to rule our Country. Let us wait for the first five year term to assess end result.

Now talking about AAP, most of us were under the impression that Kejriwal would bring major change in political scenario and he did it but momentarily. Is a politician or activist? He should have played his role wisely but he gives more importance for dharna, mochas and takes active part involving him in such activities rather than respecting his position. We cannot expect CM to sit/sleep on road side to achieve some result.
Any ways, I hope this time voters will act wisely.

Kejriwal, you have already established yourself as a good entertainer and making false promises which you cannot deliver to common man. First five year term abruptly ended in five months rule because of your dramatic behavior. I hope voters will think thousand times before voting for AAP and that should be.

Why wasting people's precious time and energy and the election expenses?

Mr.Flavain you are wrong, what can he do when his hands are tied up by congress which is supporting . Yet he did more then modi or congress combined. The only opposition to modi is AK49 Kejriwal. Remember Modi when was chief minister went into hiding then later d sick at the presence of AK49 Kejriwal in Gujrat. Our country needs development . There should alternate opposition in democracy to challenge modi , and AK49 can deliver this.

They support and encourage radicals and have extremist views which is not good for INDIA.
