Trio dances to victory on 'Dil Se Naachein...'

New Delhi, Nov 10 (IANS): The journey of dancing reality show “Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale” came to a happy end with the trio of Priyanka, Vipul and Gaurav emerging as the winners.

Along with the trophy, the winning group took away Rs.10 lakh and a Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. The prize money will be divided equally among the three group members.

Priyanka Mydeo and her group had to fight it out with top 10 finalists, which included six-year-old Mannat, Russian beauty Elena and Chandigarh-based Naveen Arya amongst others.

The Zee TV show, which went on air Oct 11 with an aim to find the happiest dancer -- one who dances from heart and not technique -- concluded after five weeks of entertainment Sunday.

The cast of film "Happy New Year" -- Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah, and the film's director Farah Khan, judged the show as 'agents of happiness'.

Despite her heavy frame, Mumbai-based Priyanka, who formed the winning dance group, wowed audiences and the judges with her dancing prowess.

Priyanka, who could not dance for around one year after a knee surgery, impressed the celebrity panel with her spunky spirit with Deepika complementing her that she can do her "Lovely" song better than her.

The show that started off on-ground in Mumbai, made pit-stops at Ahmedabad and Indore, before concluding in Delhi.

At the finale, the "Happy New Year" cast and crew was seen grooving with the finalists, while on screen couple Karanvir Bohra and Surbhi Jyoti also moved to a melody of songs.

The finale was not only about dancing, but was packed with interludes of comedy, courtesy comedienne Bharti Singh and show's host Jay Bhanushali.
