Delhi-Lahore bus service continues despite Wagah blast

New Delhi, Nov 3 (IANS): The bus service between Delhi and Lahore will continue despite Sunday evening's blast at the India-Pakistan border that claimed 60 lives, an official said here Monday.

"The service is on. The bus left Delhi at the same time in the morning with passengers. So far, no instruction has come from the government to suspend the service," Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) spokesperson R.S. Minhas told IANS.

The bus left around 6 a.m. Monday from Delhi's Ambedkar Stadium bus terminal, he said.

The bus service (Delhi-Lahore-Delhi), which started in 2003, ferries passengers every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Delhi, and on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Lahore.
