European Games opens ticketing sign-up page

Baku, Nov 1 (IANS): Baku 2015 European Games opened a sign-up page on its website to allow fans to register their interest in purchasing tickets for next summer's event.

The website's sign-up page opened Friday night and it allows international and Azerbaijani customers to request ticketing updates on the sports programme as well as receive all the latest news from Baku 2015, reports Xinhua.

Ticket sales to the general public will open next year, but those who register their interest now will be first to be sent frequent e-mail updates on all the latest developments as the countdown continues.

"We know that fans will be keen to secure their place as soon as possible to attend Baku 2015 and this system will make it easy for them to keep up to date with all the latest news and information about the ticket sales process next year," said Simon Clegg, chief operating officer of 2015 European Games.

Baku was awarded the Games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.

The Baku European Games Operations Committee will organise and run the Games in co-operation with the EOC.
