ABU DHABI, Sep 29: Etisalat has kicked off its 30th anniversary celebrations with exciting offers for all its mobile users in the UAE.
Essa Al Haddad, chief marketing officer, Etisalat, said, “Etisalat is gearing up for a range of celebrations to mark 30 years of success, and we believe that this promotional campaign is an ideal way to make this a time of celebration. We want to enable each customer to benefit from this promotion, and so have designed it to be as inclusive as possible. With over 5.1 million mobile subscriptions covering nearly 125 per cent of the population, we will certainly reach out to everyone.”
New subscribers to the prepaid ‘Wasel’ service will be offered the SIM card at Dh165, and will receive Dh165 worth of initial credit. The initial credit includes Dh10, which can be used for international calls, SMS and other value-added services and Dh155 of promotional credit to mark Etisalat's 30th anniversary, which can be used for national calls made within the UAE on the Etisalat network and will be valid for 60 days from the date of purchase.
Customers who subscribe to a new postpaid GSM account during the promotional period will be offered the SIM card at Dh185 and will receive Dh185 as free credit. This amount will be credited towards all national calls on the Etisalat network and will be reflected in the second bill from the date of purchase.
Existing ‘Wasel’ customers can simply renew their account by Dh100 to get an additional Dh100 credited to their prepaid account. This credit is also valid for 60 days from the date of renewal and can be used for national calls within the UAE on the Etisalat network. There is no limit to the number of times customers can renew their Wasel accounts during this promotion. For every Dh100 paid towards the renewal fee, each customer will receive Dh100 worth of promotional credit and will have his or her Wasel account renewed for an additional year.
Existing Etisalat postpaid GSM customers will have Dh100 worth of national calls free in their second bill from the date of the beginning of the promotion. If the customer's usage in that invoice is less than Dh100, the full amount charged for national calls on the Etisalat network will be waived.
To enable prepaid customers to keep an account of the promotional credit balance and its validity, they can key in *121# followed by Send/OK/Call from their mobile phones at any time, and they will receive a detailed breakdown of their account balance, their promotional credit balance and the validity of their promotional credit.
