Mangalore, Sep 7: The morning rush coupled with reckless driving which has been a major problem for commuters, proved fatal to 19-year-old Glen Philip D'Souza of Nagori on Thursday September 7 morning.  He was knocked down by a recklessly driven lorry at Pumpwell, as a result of which he died on the spot.

Glen was the son of Godwin D'Souza and Philomena D'Souza of Nagori near here.  He had just completed his second year of engineering studies at Nitte College.  On Thursday morning, he was on his way to the city riding his mobike, when the lorry hit him.  He sustained serious injuries in his head and died on the spot.

The Kankanady police have registered a case in this regard.
