Mangalore: Calvin Puts first Steps - Thanks to our Readers

Mangalore, Aug 30: Trust, commitment, and dedication are the three important factors that make human beings dream farther and achieve higher. Sometimes, with these factors, if anything is achieved, people even assume that it is a miracle!

Monthu and Celine Albuquerque of Beltangady too dreamt a lot about their child. Their dreams were different, much higher, before the child was born. But after its birth, the couple and other family members went through a phase of pain.

For Calvin was born without his full-strength legs.

But they never gave up hopes. They had their dreams. They put in their best efforts and dedicated themselves towards the welfare of their son Calvin. And now their goal is being achieved.

Compare the pictures below: how Calvin was when he was born and brought up until a year ago or so, and how pleasant is the change in the second - the current one - picture. One can indeed feel it and be pleased with it.

Calvin was operated on successfully at KMC Manipal and now day by day he is improving. He can even walk a couple of steps without anyone's help!

Those who made contributions to the medical expenses of Calvin and those who wished him well through prayers must really be delighted to see this recent picture and read this news.

Last year, it was Novi and Flavy D`Almeida couple, living in Dubai had approached daijiworld for help with the publication of an appeal. They had hopes with the doctors' assurance. Fr Walter D`Souza, parish priest, had recommended the appeal and daijiworld published it last year.

The amount received from the readers was much higher than expected and Calvin's surgery went on successfully.

His parents are delighted. "There is no other happiness for us than this. God is great and we are thankful to everyone who helped us to make this dream of ours come true..," says Monthu Albuquerque, while thanking the role played by daijiworld in this mission.

Daijiworld has just played a common media role, but the entire credit and gratitude goes to those who contributed to this cause.

We at daijiworld feel proud when such good things happen. This is not the first time that our readers have stood by a genuine cause. We are pleased to inform our readers that our three recent appeals for others (like Fr Ivan Madtha, Marina and Smitha Devadiga) have been receiving similar response. Daijiworld will keep you updated on the progress during the coming days.

We are aware that this is because of our readers' trust in the mode of transparency in our dealings like facilitating direct payment to the beneficiary's bank account, without our being in the picture.

We are touched and words fail us when the beneficiaries keep saying, "It is the Almighty's blessing in the form of this website". With your support and and HIS blessings, we hope, we will serve more and more needy people in the coming days.

Our humble gratitute to everyone, without mentioning any names.

Thank you once again
