Mangalore, Aug 28: Here are the results of the preliminary round of "Yaad" Konkani antakshari which was held on Sunday August 27 afternoon at Sandesha, Bajjodi.
A total of 35 groups were in the fray. The competitors were supposed to sing 3 Konkani songs beginning from a particular letter. They were also made to write answers to 20 questions given by the organizers. So those secured a minimum of 40 marks have secured place in the next round. The organizers also said that a total of 28 groups would make it to the next round. However, Sunday's results indicated that out of the 35 entries only 22 teams entered the next round. So a second preliminary round to choose the remaining 6 groups will be held on Friday September 1 at 4 pm at Sandesha. Those groups which did not participate in the preliminary round on Sunday can participate in the second preliminary round on Friday.

As per the results, 13 groups are out of the contest no. The winners will have the next round on Sunday September 3 at 1.30 pm at Sandesha. All 22 groups who have made it to the next round on Sunday August 27 and those 6 teams which would be selected on Friday September 1 are eligible to participate in the next round.
The organizers have announced that those who want to participate in the "Preliminary Round - 2" to be held on Friday should call on 9900326747 and enrol their names by Wednesday August 30 evening.
