Reminder: MCCP Event in Muscat on Aug 25

Muscat, Aug 21: It will be one more scintillating and enthralling cultural program for Mangaloreans in Oman, specially, in and around Muscat city.  Many Konkani loving people are eagerly waiting for this annual program. Mangalorean Catholic Center of the Parish – MCCP (Under the patronage of Sts Peter and Paul Church – Ruwi,  Sultanate of Oman) with its new Executive Committee will be presenting an entertaining and enjoyable Inaugural function on Friday 25th of August 2006 at Sts Peter and Paul Church Main Hall.

As per the reliable sources, the Inaugural function will commence at 10.30 am with Solemn Holy Mass in Konkani. Fr Albert D Silva, our own Mangalorean priest and spiritual advisor of MCCP will be the main celebrant.

Immediately after the Holy mass, ie around 12.00 noon, Cultural and Spiritual committees have planned variety cultural entertainment program, which includes introduction of new committee.

As per the circular released recently, MCCP meritorious students of Std X and XII, Commerce, Humanities and Science streams of the last academic year who have secured above 80% marks are requested to submit their marks sheet photocopy to any one of the committee members or Parish office as soon as possible, in order to decide the recipient of the Scholarship. For each category, there will be a certificate of appreciation and award of scholarship amount.

MCCP’s Annual Drawing competition for children will be held on Friday, 01st September 2006 at 12.00 noon at Sts Peter and Paul Church Upper Hall. Mr. & Mrs. William D Souza & Family – Dubai will be the sponsors for this annual event.

MCCP members are requested to register their children’s name for this competition with Mrs. Bernadine Aranha, Telephone 99 598 220 (8.00 am to 1.00 pm and 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm) or Mrs. Sandra Correa – 24 787 991 or  92 354 338 on or before 30.08.2006 ( 9.00 pm ).
