Two soldiers killed in Pakistan violence


Islamabad, Aug 1 (IANS): At least two soldiers were killed and several others injured in two separate incidents of firing and bomb blast in northwest and southwest Pakistan Friday, media reported.

Citing Express TV, Xinhua reported that one paramilitary soldier was killed when some unknown militants from the Afghan border opened fire in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Bajaur Agency.

The attackers fled the scene after the attack.

In a separate attack, two paramilitary soldiers were killed and several others injured when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle in Dera Bugti, a town in the country's southwest Balochistan province.

The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
