Report and pics from Rajtilak Naik in Panaji

Panaji, Aug 16: Goa, one of the football hub states in the country, now can boast of something new and different for football-lovers and the players too.

Enthusiastic sports-lover Rustam Patel, with a helping hand from Goa Football Association and Goa Motor Sports Association, organized a football tournament with a unique concept called Kinetic Fooball.

The game is all similar to any football game played in the world. The only difference is just that the players don't run around chasing the ball, but, instead they ride Kinetic scooters and play the game. The Kinetic Scooters used in the tournament were given free servicing by the  Kinetic Honda company.

The tournament is being played in 4 phases in all throughout the country, while the final round will be held in Pune. A total of 16 teams took part in the event.

Whatever the sports theories may say, it is a different issue to think whether this game will be recognized by the concerned sports authorities, but no one could deny that this game gave a lot of excitement and adventure to both the players as well as the onlookers.

That is Kinetic Football !
