Mumbai, Aug 12: Former India paceman Javagal Srinath feels that fellow speedster Ajit Agarkar's frail physique is a handicap for the bowler to shine in Test cricket as compared to the limited-over game.

"It's better for him (Agarkar) to stick to one-day cricket where he can bat, bowl and field well. His very fragile body does not stand up to the rigours of Test cricket," Srinath said bluntly at a symposium ahead of the forthcoming tri-series in Sri Lanka.

Agarkar's one-day record is very impressive, 252 wickets in 164 ODIs at an average of 27.15 while his Test record is a dismal 58 wickets in 26 matches at a costly 47.32 per wicket.

Srinath's response was different as compared to the shrill voices of past cricketers who had condemned the selectors for ignoring Agarkar's claims when he was omitted for the four-Test series following his fine bowling in the preceding five-match one-day series in the West Indies.
