Dubai, August 5: 'Kavitaa Trust' recently held its monthly poetry session on Friday, August 4 at Golden Talents Music Centre, which was also held to felicitate Melvyn Rodrigues, the winner of Bahrain's Konkani Kuttom
award.  Vincy Pinto Angelore compered the half-day event with great style.

To kick start the event, Robert Fernandes Udyavar welcomed the gathering followed by a self introduction session. Melvyn Rodrigues was honoured with floral bouquet for having received the prestigious 'Konkani Kuttom Bahrain' award. Flora Dias presented the bouquet to the Konkani poetry pioneer. 

The poetry recitation session was conducted by Vincy Pinto Angelore with flair and flamboyance.  Pius James, Asha Pinto, Anthony Mendonca, Sannu Monis, Melvyn Rodrigues, Ashok Dias, M P Rodrigues, Arthur Pereira, Vincy Pinto, Dinesh Correa, Jossie Bajjodi and Robert Fernandes recited their poems and entertained the crowd.  Pius James got the 'Poet of the Month' award which included Dh100 cash prize, for his poem 'Ami Tegi Bhoinni'.  Senior poet M P Rodrigues presented this honour. Robert Udyavar propsed vote of thanks.
