Dubai, Aug 5: Francis Rodrigues (45), hailing from Alangar near Moodbidri here, left his place earlier this week after spending a good holiday with his small family - wife, a son and a daughter - with happy memories. However, he was not aware that the happiness was to be cut short by fate.

On Friday, August 4 morning he landed in Dubai airport. Within half an hour of reaching, he is said to have died of a heart attack. He was employed with Altras in Jebel Ali.

A resident of Lourdes ward back home and son of Rita and the late Paul Rodrigues, Francis leaves behind wife Matilda, son Frank Mackton and daughter Mavis.

Details of the funeral are not known.
