Budget will lead to revival of economy: BJP

New Delhi, July 10 (IANS): BJP leaders Thursday welcomed the 2014-15 budget, saying it will lead to revival of economy.

"The budget has successfully captured the imagination of the people by addressing their hopes and aspirations. It has defined a roadmap for new vibrant India," Home Minister Rajnath Singh said.

"This budget provides an enabling framework to realise the true potential of Indian economy. In a clear move to achieve fiscal consolidation and economic recovery, the budget has made many concrete announcements," he said.

Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah said it will pump "hope" in the economy.

"The finance minister has laid down a comprehensive action plan for the revitalization of the Indian economy. This budget brings back hope into the economy," he said.

"It sets the pace for greater financial inclusion of the weaker sections," he added.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said it will give a boost to manufacturing.

"The budget is aimed at operational revival of the economy. The manufacturing sector and others areas like small and medium enterprises have been given a major boost," he said.
