Mumbai, Jul 22: A meeting of the Jayashreekrishna Parisara Samiti was held at the Billavara Bhavana, Santacruz here recently, with Dharmapala U Devadiga, vice president, presiding over the meet.  

Speaking on the occasion Devadiga said that the state of Karnataka including undivided district of Dakshina Kannada, is facing acute power crisis.  The power crisis is hampering the growth of the districts, and as a solution to the problem, the Nagarjuna project is being welcomed.  The committee also welcomes the ‘Suzlon’ infrastructure, which intends to set-up a tidal power plant in Nadikur, he said.

Jaya C Suvarna, Felix A D’Souza, Nithyananda D Kotian, honorary chief secretary, Rons Bantwal, Vishwanath U Mada, media spokesperson and G T Acharya, joint treasurer, spoke and gave information on various subjects. 

I R Shetty, honorary treasurer, spoke about the membership and registration of the association.

Office bearers P K Salian, Umesh Shetty, Harish Kumar Shetty, Surendra Kumar Hegde, S K Shreeyan, Santhosh Rai, Ravi B Mendon, Harry S Ferrar, R K Shetty, Tonse Sanjeeva Poojary, were present.

Nithyananda Kotain, honorary chief secretary, read out the report, while Rons Bantwal, honorary chief secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.
