Try Trooclick - a new automated fact-checking app from Paris-based developers that can help you separate the wheat from the chaff.
Trooclick is an internet browser plug-in that alerts you if an article you are reading has "glitches."
A glitch could be an incorrect fact, information that conflicts with other media reports about the same topic.
It analyses the text of the web page you are reading and compares it to their database of facts and figures to see if anything is related between the two.
If there is a match, they see if the data they have collected is different from what you are reading.
If that is the case, it alerts you to the glitches.
"Trooclick's mission is to reveal the glitches in online news and highlight the most reliable stories. We are tackling news first but we will eventually move on to social media, audio and video content," a statement posted on its web site read.
