Mumbai, July 16: Eminent radio personality Ameen Sayani won the Living Legend award at the 2006 Promax India Radio Awards ceremony for his exemplary career spanning 56 years. The Living Legend award is jointly constituted by FICCI and the India Radio Forum.

For the first time, the Indian Radio Community competed for the internationally recognised benchmark of excellence for radio marketing and promotion excecutives. The Promax India Muse was awarded for the first time in the following categories.

R1 Best Radio Promo in-house (music station/ programming) went to RED FM, Prayas-Breaking News won in the Gold category, R1 Best Radio Promo in-house (music station/ programming) went to Radio Mirchi, Mirchi Delhi-Bollywood Under Arrest in the Silver category. R3 Best Promotional Campaign by a Radio Station or Programme went to Radio City, Musical-e-Azam, in the Gold category. R3 Best Promotional Campaign by a Radio Station or Programme, Radio One for Jaggu's Mission 10K in the Silver category.

R5 Best Print Piece for a Radio Station or Programme to Radio One for Legends, which won in the Gold category, Ogilvy and Mather Advertising for World Space to Genre-based won in the Silver category, R6 Best Original Music Composition for a Promo went to Radio City for Namma Naadu Karunaadu in the Gold category, R6 Best Original Music Composition for a Promo went to Radio City for RC Song in the Silver category.

R7 Best Use of Library Music for a Promo went to Radio Mirchi for Mirchi Delhi Cricket India England '06 Series promo which won in the Gold category, R7 Best Use of Library Music for a Promo to Red FM for Anda Mix which won in the Silver category. R9 Best Promotional item for a Radio Station or Programme went to Radio City Babbar Sher-Happy New Ear CD which won in the Gold category. R9 Best Promotional Item for a Radio Station or Programme went to Radio City for Musical-e-Azam Premium to Trade/ Media which won in the Silver category.

R10 Best Interactive Promotion for a Radio Station went to Radio City for City Bajao Car Le Jao which won the Silver category, R11 Best Use of Outdoor Advertising went to Ogilvy and Mather Advertising for WorldSpace, for Unwind which won in the Gold category and R11 Best Use of Outdoor Advertising went to Radio City for Asha Bhosale-Live on Musical-E-Azam which won in the Silver category.
