Mumbai, July 10: Five persons died and 23 were injured in the building collapse on Sunday evening in suburban Bandra, fire brigade sources said on Monday.

The three-storeyed building in Behrampada area of Bandra collapsed around 4.30 pm last evening and rescue operations continued into the night.

"Five bodies were retrieved and 23 others were rescued from the debris," the sources said.

The injured were admitted to Bhabha hospital and VN Desai hospital, they added.
