New Delhi, Jul 6: The UPA Government is in for some serious southern discomfort.

Dravida Munnettra Kazgham (DMK) - UPA’s ally from Tamil Nadu – has said that it will review its support to the Government over its stand on the disinvestment of the public sector undertaking, Neyveli Lignite.

The DMK, that supports the Central Government with 16 MPs, had earlier conveyed their stand against the Neyvelli disinvestment decision.

A carefully-worded statement released by DMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi says the party will review its options on whether to continue in the Union Government.

Karunanidhi said the Government is not in a position to accept the demands of the workers at Neyveli.

He also said he had instructed the DMK Lok Sabha members to inform the party's stand to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The DMK government in Tamil Nadu is supported by the Congress.
