Kamal Chawla enters Asian snooker semis


Al Fujairah (UAE), May 2 (IANS): India’s Kamal Chawla overcame Moh Keen Ho of Malaysia 5-3 to enter the semi-finals of the Asian snooker championship here Thursday and assured himself of a medal.

Chawla takes on another Malaysian Chuan Leong Thor in the penultimate round Friday night while Ehsan Heydarinezhad of Iran faces Taipei’s Hung Chuang Ming in the other semi-final.

Earlier, in the quarter-finals, Chawla accounted for China's Chen Zifan 4-2, while the other Indian, Dharmender Lilly, went down 0-4 to Chuan Leong Thor.
