D'Antoni resigns as Lakers coach


Washington, May 1 (IANS): Los Angeles Lakers announced that Mike D'Antoni had stepped down as head coach of the NBA team.

D'Antoni became the Lakers' head coach in the 2012-2013 season. The Lakers got a 67-87 record under his coaching, reports Xinhua.

The Lakers met with injury troubles this season, with Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Pau Gasol missing most of the season.
