Huddle wins women's 5K title in Boston


Boston, April 20 (IANS): Molly Huddle won the Boston women's 5K title after a record-tying time of 15 minutes and 12 seconds.

The 2012 Olympian tied the Saturday record which was set by Ethiopia's Werknesh Kidane in 2012, reports Xinhua.

Ethiopia's Mamitu Daska and Sentayehu Ejigu took the second and third place respectively.

The B.A.A. 5K is the first race of the B.A.A. (Boston Athletic Association) Distance Medley, a three race series that includes the B.A.A. 5K, B.A.A. 10K, and B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.
