Belo Horizonte, April 11 (IANS): Brazil striker Jo scored the winner as defending champions Atletico Mineiro secured top spot in their Copa Libertadores group with a 1-0 victory over Venezuela's Zamora.
The former Manchester City forward netted in the 10th minute after Guilherme's assist at the Mineirao stadium Thursday, reports Xinhua.
Zamora were reduced to 10 men in the 73rd minute when Jonathan Espana was dismissed after a heated clash with Leonardo Silva.
Atletico were without former Barcelona star Ronaldinho, who failed to recover in time from an ankle injury.
The result lifted Atletico to 12 points in Group 4 while Zamora are out of the tournament with just seven points from six matches.
