Mumbai, Jun 10: Driven to Mumbai in search of employment, Bharuch-based Manish Patel (27), died on Thursday night, after falling off a local train near Lower Parel station.

The railway police recovered his body from the tracks along with a commuter identified as Sheetal Kumar (21). The duo lay barely 150 metres from the platform.

“At 9.55 pm, we were informed that one person had fallen off a train, soon after it left the Lower Parel station for Elphinstone Road station. When we checked the tracks, we realized, there wasn’t one, but two bodies near the tracks,” said on-duty railway police officials.

The police have no further information on Sheetal Kumar.
