Balakrishna committed co-star, energetic dancer: Hamsa Nandini

Chennai, March 20 (IANS): Actress Hamsa Nandi, who has shared screen space with 53-year old Nandamuri Balakrishna in upcoming Telugu action-drama "Legend", says that he is a committed co-star and an energetic dancer despite his superstar status.

Hamsa will be seen in rocking a special number in the film, which is directed by Boyapati Srinu.

"I feature in a special number at an important stage in the film. Although I only shot for seven days with Balakrishna sir, I had so much to learn from him. The energy, hard work and dedication that he shows towards his work despite being a superstar are unmatchable," Hamsa told IANS.

"I feature in a solo number, but he joins me towards the end of the song. He is a fantastic and energetic dancer. I feel he can still give the younger actors a run for their money with his dance steps. Hats off to his talent," she said.

Hamsa says he is friendly too.

"It's so much fun to shoot with him. In between shots, he would keep me engaged by reciting dialogues from his father's old films. He's a very friendly co-star," she added.

She says she doesn't mind doing special numbers or cameos.

"For me, the size of a role doesn't matter but content does. I don't mind playing these roles because my appearance has some effect on the audience," she said

"Moreover, I will only pick up roles which will help me connect with the audience with my performance and they should remember me too for the same," Hamsa added.

"Legend" also features Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan in lead roles. It is slated to release March 28 worldwide.
