Mumbai, Jun 5: Suspended encounter specialist PSI Daya Nayak, now on bail, is planning to file a case against Police Commissioner AN Roy for not providing police security to him.

“I am shocked that the Commissioner has chosen to ignore my request to reinstate my security. If he does not provide me police security, I will have no choice, but to file a case against Mr Roy,” Nayak said.

Roy, however, said he had not received the request from Nayak. “He may have written to the protection branch,” he said.

Nayak was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a disproportionate assets case. He was released on bail after the ACB failed to file a chargesheet in time.

“I still face threat from Chhota Shakeel. Many of his gang members had  succumbed to my bullets. The D-gang is out to nail me. With my suspension, the security cover granted to me was withdrawn,” said Nayak. According to Nayak, he was still entitled to security as he had not been proven guilty yet.
