NBA: Tucker handed one game ban for hitting Griffin


Washington, March 12 (IANS): The Phoenix Suns forward P.J. Tucker was to be suspended for one game for hitting the Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin, announced Rod Thorn, president of NBA Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred during the Suns' 105-112 loss to the Clippers on Monday, reports Xinhua.

Tucker would miss the Suns' game against the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday.

Tucker averaged 9.4 points and 6.6 rebounds for the Suns this season.
