Apollo Health City bags award for medical tourism


Hyderabad, March 6 (IANS): Apollo Health City, Hyderabad, has bagged the prestigious international medical tourism award for excellence in customer service by Britain's International Medical Travel Journal.

The award was presented at a glittering ceremony in Dubai Wednesday. Dignitaries from healthcare, insurance, pharmaceutical industries from around the world were present, said a statement from Apollo Hospitals here.

Apollo Health City was the only hospital from India to be in the race for the prestigious awards and win one.

"This is another unique milestone for Apollo Health City, considering several world class healthcare providers from across the globe were vying for these prestigious awards," said Sangita Reddy, executive director, Apollo Hospitals Group.

Apollo Health City was also a finalist in both specialist international patient centre and best marketing initiative categories.
