May 23: Dubai Bone and Joint Center is holding an open event at the Dubai Ladies Club on Wednesday June 7th at 11:00 am on the subject of osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by low bone mass, which occurs as a natural process of aging, and leads to bone fragility and an increased risk of fracture. Menopausal and postmenopausal women over the age of 65 are especially at risk of developing Osteoporosis.  Since osteoporosis is for the most part asymptomatic, it is important for every woman over the age of 45 to test her bone density.  

The event will include the following:

• A talk on the prevention and treatment of Osteoporosis by Dr. Humeira Badsha (Dr. Badsha is one of the best rheumatologists in the country)
• Tips and exercises demonstrated by a physiotherapist
• Free Bone density screening 
• Snacks and refreshments will be served.
   

This is a good opportunity for all women to take the benefit of this useful seminar.
