Zubkov to carry Russian flag at Winter Olympics


Sochi, Feb 6 (IANS): Russian bobsled driver Alexander Zubkov will carry the country's flag at the Winter Olympic Games opening ceremony Friday, the Russian Olympic Committee announced.

Zubkov, 39, made his Olympic debut in 2002 and won a four-man silver in 2006 and bronze in 2010, reports Xinhua.

Zubkov retired after the 2010 Vancouver Games and returned to win the two-man world championships in 2011 and two-man silver in 2013.
