New Zealand make 179/3 at tea


Auckland, Feb 6 (IANS): New Zealand made 179 for three in the first innings against India at tea on the first day of the first cricket Test at the Eden Park here Thursday.

Kane Williamson was batting on 79 and skipper Brendan McCullum on 71 at the break.

Openers Peter Fulton (13), Hamish Rutherford (6) and Ross Taylor (3) fell in the first session.
