Woods meets Tendulkar, calls him 'cool'


New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS): World No.1 golfer Tiger Woods expressed joy after meeting Sachin Tendulkar and his family and called the cricket legend "cool".

Woods, on his maiden visit to India, met Tendulkar at a hotel here and then tweeted: "Just met a cricket legend and his family. Sachin Tendulkar was so cool, and loved being welcomed to India."

Woods played an exhibition match at a private event at the Delhi Golf Club (DGC) Tuesday morning. Tendulkar was here to receive the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award.

At the golf event, organised by Hero Group and World Sports Group where only select media and DSC members were invited, Woods was joined by Indian golfers Shiv Kapur and Anirban Lahiri besides Pawan Munjal of Hero.
