Lee Chong Wei to compete in All-England Badminton Championships


London, Feb 4 (IANS): Malaysia's badminton ace Lee Chong Wei and defending champion Chen Long of China confirmed their participation in the All-England Badminton Championships to be held in Birmingham from March 4-9.

Lee, who won his 10th consecutive Maybank Malaysian Open title in January, has appeared in the last five men's singles finals and will be looking to recapture the title he won in 2010 and 2011, reports Xinhua.

Chen, who beat the Malaysian in the first Superseries event of the year in South Korea, will be aiming to retain his title.

The Chinese trio of former All England champions Li Xuerui, Wang Yihan and Wang Shixian will also compete in the women's event.
