Curry shoots 38 points as Warriors defeat Blazers


Washington, Jan 27 (IANS): NBA All-Star starter Stephen Curry made 13 out of 23 shots, scoring a game-high 38 points to lead Golden State Warriors past the Portland Trail Blazers 103-88.

The Warriors out-performed their opponents both offensively and defensively Sunday. The host team converted 41.8 percent of field goal attempts to score, while the Blazers only made 33.7 percent, reports Xinhua.

The Blazers turned the ball over as many as 15 times throughout the match.

David Lee and Klay Thompson had 17 points each for the Warriors while Andre Iguodala pitched in with 12.

Wesley Matthews had a team-high 21 points for the Blazers.
