Mumbai, May 17 (Wednesday, 7-10 pm): Four people were killed and two injured in a major fire in the administrative building of the Rashtriya Chemical and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF) at Sion here on Wednesday, company sources said.
"Six persons were injured in the fire. Of them, four succumbed to their injuries while the remaining two are being given medical treatment," Deputy General Manager Prakash Desai said in a release here.
Fire was noticed at 8:45 am on the third floor of 'Priyadarshini' building, occupied by the ONGC, the release said.
"Documents and other materials caught fire", it said adding that the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
RCF's fire brigade reached the site immediately. Also fire tenders from Mumbai Fire Brigade and Mutual Aid Group were rushed to the spot, and the fire was brought under control by 9.30 am, he added.
