Sanjay Bangar named Kings XI assistant coach


Chandigarh, Jan 23 (IANS): Kings XI Punjab Thursday appointed former India player Sanjay Bangar as the assistant coach of the Indian Premier League franchise.

Commenting on Bangar's appointment, the promoters of Kings XI Punjab said: “Given his vast experience as former player and his coaching stints over the years with one other franchise, NCA (National Cricket Academy, Bangalore) and India A team, we are certain that he will add immense value to our team."

Bangar said: “It is a pleasure being associated with Kings XI Punjab and I would like to thank them for giving me an opportunity. It will be interesting to have a new team this year and a great challenge and opportunity to train some of the young and inspiring cricketers."
