Fixing: IPL probe committee likely to submit report Feb 10

Kolkata, Jan 20 (IANS): The Justice Mukul Mudgal Committee, investigating allegations of spot-fixing and betting in the Indian Premier League (IPL), is likely to submit its report Feb 10, the BCCI said Sunday.

The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI), however, said in a release that the committee has yet not arrived at any final conclusion.

The commission met former India captain Sourav Ganguly, former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya and veteran sports journalist Kishore Bhimani in Kolkata Friday.

Committee members also held talks with cricket historian Boria Majumdar and Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB) secretary Aditya Verma Saturday as well as "other stakeholders in Bangalore" Sunday.

"The committee would like to clarify that the interactions with various people and deliberations are still on. The committee has not arrived at any final conclusion yet, contrary to some speculations in the media. The committee is likely to submit its report by Feb 10," the press statement said.
