Honey Singh endorses Jaypee Punjab Warriors for HIL


New Delhi, Jan 16 (IANS): Rapper and music composer Yo Yo Honey Singh will root for Jaypee Punjab Warriors (JPW) in the second Hockey India League (HIL) beginning Jan 25.

Honey Singh will be seen wearing the team jersey in his forthcoming musical video. Two of JPW’s leading players - Sandeep Singh and Dharamveer Singh - can also be seen with Honey Singh shaking a leg or two. The video was recently shot at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.

On his support for JPW, Honey Singh said: “Hockey has been very close to my heart right from my childhood days and I feel this can be one way of promoting our national sport in my home state Punjab and other parts of the country. I’ll be following my favourite team Punjab Warriors in the HIL and I wish that they lift the cup this time.”

The HIL opener will be played between JPW and Delhi Waveriders in the new hockey stadium at Mohali Jan 25.
