HI invites hockey players to visit Taj Mahal


New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS): Hockey India (HI) Wednesday invited players participating in the World League Final here to visit the Taj Mahal, adding that the association would be happy to host them in Agra.

The tournament will be played at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium Jan 10-18 and will comprise of reigning Olympic champions Germany, world champions Australia, the Netherlands, England, Belgium, Argentina, New Zealand and hosts India.

"We are happy to be the hosts of the first edition of the Hockey World League Final. I hope all the hockey players who have come from various countries enjoy their stay in India," HI secretary general Narinder Batra said at the trophy unveiling ceremony of the event.

"If the teams can take some time off from their busy schedules, we would be happy to invite them to see the Taj Mahal in Agra and host them there."
