Australian Leapai to fight Klitschko for world title

Sydney, Jan 6 (IANS): Australian boxer Alex Leapai will fight Ukraine's World Heavyweight Boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko for the title April 26 in Germany.

Leapai defeated World Boxing Organisation (WBO) heavyweight No.1 contender Denis Boytsov of Russia, earning a 10-round points victory in Germany in 2013 November. The Samoa-born, who has won 30 and drawn three of his 37 professional fights, is confident of a win, reports Xinhua.

The 34-year-old Australian will take on Klitschko, 37, who hasn't been defeated in 10 years.

"Come the day we fight, once he feels what I've got, he's going to get knocked out or he's going to jump out of the ring," Leapai said Monday.
