Sharjah, May 5: Karnataka Sangha Sharjah believes in honoring the Achievers from the mother State Karnataka who visit United Arab Emirates. This ideology is to be appreciated as it gives an opportunity for the members to interact and learn from the experiences of these dignitaries who have excelled back home in various fields. In turn these occasions gives satisfaction and strength to those honored to further their efforts.

On 1st May 2006 the Sangha took an opportunity facilitate well known social worker, notary and President of Beary Sahitya Parishat Advocate M.B.Abdul Rehaman who was in town to participate in World Beary Convention

The function which was held at Mysore Palace Hotel started sharp at 9.30 Pm. General Secretary Sathish Poojary began the proceedings with an introductory speech.

VICE PRESIDENT PRABAHAKAR AMBALTERE in his welcome speech appreciated Abdul Rehman’s accomplishments and gave brief introduction about him. Stanely B. Mathais welcomed the guest by offering bouquet.

PRESIDENT B.K.GANESH RAI spoke and lauded his contribution to the Soceity.

PATRON MARK DENIS D'SOUZA led the dignitaries in honoring M.B Abdul Rehman in a traditional Karnataka style by presenting Shawl. Rao of Mysore Palace Hotel and Leny Denis D’ Souza garlanded the guest and presented memento. President Ganesh Rai presented certificate of honour and Prabhakar Ambaltere offered ‘Saadhane’.

Honourable Chief Guest M.B.Abdul Rehman in his speech said that “Blood does not have any religion, caste & discrimination. It has got only one colour & that is red” and appealed to members to come forward to donate blood and save life.

The function was anchored by Satish Poojary.

Delicious dinner was served to all. Function was concluded with vote of thanks by Vice President Prabhakar Amberthere.
